B. “Two Witnesses” (Revelation 11)
Revelation 11:1-14, “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court [where the Greeks were] which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles [Greeks]: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months [42 x 30 = 1,260]. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days [1,260], clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.”

C. “Two or Three Witnesses”—2 Literal, and 1 Symbolic
The Bible has many references, to the principle of needing at least “two or three witnesses” (see Exodus 31:18; 32:15; 34:29; Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15; Matthew 18:16; John 1:1-18; 8:17,18; 10:24,25; 2 Corinthians 13:1; 1 Timothy 5:19; Hebrews 10:28; 1 John 5:6-8; Revelation 1:1,2; 11:3-10; etc). And this principle itself, has 3 applications: #1 human witnesses, testifying about known events (often crimes); #2 the word of God—which has at least two or three statements, or witnesses, in support of important doctrines (just one verse is not enough); #3 much of God’s word has two or three applications.
There are countless ideas, about the two witnesses of Revelation 11; however, very few of them are based upon the BIBLE ITSELF making its OWN application (of the two witnesses, and 1,260). Below, there are three applications (2 literal, and 1 symbolic); and ALL THREE of these are supported by DIRECT statements, in the word of God, about the time prophecies and the two witnesses (of Revelation 11).
Furthermore, with the two literal applications: the literal witnesses literally: “ascended up to heaven”—as stated in this very same prophecy (Revelation 11:12). This is something very significant, that the false applications do not have.

D. FIRST: 1,260 Literal Days, the “Prophets” and the Drought
Revelation 11:3,6, “… two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days [1,260] … These [two witnesses] have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the [1,260] days of their prophecy …”
Luke 4:25, “But I [Jesus] tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months [1,260 literal days], and there was a great famine throughout all the land;” (NKJV)
James 5:17, “Elijah … prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months [1,260 literal days].” (NKJV)
According to Revelation 11:10, the “two witnesses” are also called “two prophets”; and these were Moses, and Elijah. Moses was the prophet who gave the prophetic warnings, about no rain if Israel rebelled against God (see Leviticus 26:4,19,20; Deuteronomy 11:11-17; 28:12,23,24; etc). Elijah, of course, was the prophet who lived through the fulfillment, of the warning by Moses.
Do you want to know how this prophecy proves, beyond any rational doubt, that Jesus had supernatural understanding—about the chronology, of this drought? Do you want to know the exact dates, for the beginning and end of these 1,260 days of drought? E. SECOND: 1,260 Literal Days, When Father Spoke Aloud
John 8:17,18, “It is also written in your law, that the testimony of TWO men is true. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.”
Here is an inspired biblical application, of the two witnesses—in fact, this was stated by Jesus Himself! And He sated it very clearly: these two witnesses are the Father, and the Son. Does anyone think that they can outdo Jesus, and His application of the two witnesses??
Some think that everything, in Revelation, was still future—when John received the visions; but this is not true. For example, the birth of Jesus is mentioned in Revelation 12:1-5; but that was already history, it happened 100 years before John wrote the book of Revelation.
Does anyone already know (before now), that the Father spoke out loud (gave witness): three times, and ONLY three times? The Father spoke when Christ was baptized, at the BEGINNING of His public ministry. The Father spoke again, at the Transfiguration—with Moses and Elijah present (verifying the no rain application, above). And the LAST time He spoke was at the END, of Christ’s public ministry—with Greeks, in the Temple complex (see Matthew 3:16,17; 17:1-6; John 12:20-33; 2 Peter 1:16-18; etc).
Does anyone know the period of time, for this? It was exactly 1,260 days!! Those who don’t know the exact day—for every event in the four gospels (click here)—probably wouldn’t find this Jesus-endorsed application, of the 1,260 days (and two witnesses). These dates are not cherry picked, because there are MANY additional ways—to verify the start and end dates, for these events (baptism, temple desolate, etc).
Also, the first biblical record, of Jesus speaking (witness)—as an adult—is the day of His baptism, which was the START of His public ministry. And at the END of the 1,260 days, Jesus said: “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.” (Matthew 23:38). Here, Christ announced the END, of His public ministry; and also announced the END, of the 1,260 literal days. Sure, He continued to speak after that; but it was mostly in private settings (marriage, honeymoon, upper room supper, Gethsemane prayer, trial, etc). His crucifixion was public; but He didn’t speak much on the cross—and He certainly was NOT doing any public preaching.
Next, Revelation says that the two witnesses were killed, in Jerusalem, lay dead for 3.5 days, were resurrected, and ascended to heaven. Most of this does fit very well, with Jesus; but what about the “Father”? Surely, He did not die, literally, and then get resurrected, literally! Yet this IS INDEED one of the two LITERAL applications! So how does this work? If you’d like to know the answer, please watch our X / Twitter account (link below)—for the announcement of the full study, on this SECOND application of the 1,260.

F. THIRD: 1,260 Symbolic Days, Speak Loudly of The Shroud
This third application is symbolic; it has two symbolic witnesses, symbolic ascension to Heaven, and 1,260 symbolic days. What are symbolic days? Each symbolic day represent an actual year (see Numbers 14:34; Revelation 11:2,3,9,11; etc).
Did you know that the Shroud of Turin is one of the most highly researched biblical artifacts, in all of history (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shroud_of_Turin)? Did you know that it was officially radio carbon dated, at 1,260-1,390 YEARS (AD)? Does this prove that it was not from the first century? Is the Turin Shroud a forgery, just another superstitious Christian relic? Was it made by Leonardo da Vinci, as a self-portrait?
PLEASE NOTE: Stay tuned, for deeply hidden and very important truth, about the Turin Shroud—which has NEVER before been understood, or published (as of this date, 5-12-2025). Do you want to know if the shroud is genuine, or a clever fabrication? Do you want to know an extremely important fact—which BOTH sides, of the Shroud debate, have gotten totally wrong? If so, please watch our X / Twitter account (link below)—for the announcement of the full study, on this THIRD application of the 1,260.

G. Can You Solve This Equation?
Each one of the three above applications, even without the other two, give great clarity on the crucifixion and resurrection chronology (not only the year, but even the day and the minute).
There are 3 applications, of the 1,260 days / years; and there are seven Bible verses, which mention this time period (see Daniel 7:25; 12:7; Revelation 11:2,3; 12:6,14; 13:5). Seven is God’s favorite number; and almost everyone recognizes that seven represents perfection (and/or complete).
1,260 x 7 ÷ 3 (+1) = 2 …
