The 70th Jubilee year is here! Daniel 9 has 70 sabbaticals (7-year periods), until the first Advent; Leviticus 25 has 70 Jubilees (49-year periods), until the second Advent. It’s one of many truths, designed by God, to warn of Christ’s imminent return (in our day).
The 70th Jubilee started on the fall NYD (New Years Day), of the Hebrew calendar, in 2025; there are various start dates, in September or October, depending on which calendar system you use.

A. Sabbatical and Jubilee Years
Leviticus 25:3,4,8-13, “Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land [sabbatical year], a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard. … And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. Please notice the difference between sabbatical years (every 7), and Jubilee years (every 49). Additionally, every Jubilee year is also a sabbatical; but the first 6 out of 7 sabbaticals, are NOT a Jubilee year (see the cycle list, below).

When the cycle starts over: the spring NYD, of the new cycle (normal year 1)—is also in the 50th year, of the previous cycle. Why count it this way? Because the Jubilee year overlaps half of the normal year 49 (from previous cycle), and half of the next normal year (50, based on the previous cycle; or 1, based on the new cycle).
This overlap happens, because the sabbatical and Jubilee years start in the fall; the Jubilee trumpet is on the 10th day of the 7th month, which is in the fall (see Leviticus 25:9). However, the normal years start in the spring—which is why the month numbers start in the spring; again, the fall is month number 7, while month number 1 is in the spring: Abib / Nisan (see Exodus 12:1-18; 13:4; Esther 3:7; etc).

B. Cycle Repeats Every 49 Years, or 50?
While many recognize that the Jubilee cycle repeats every 49 years, some say that it is actually 50 full years (so that two cycles would equal exactly one century). It is true, that the Catholic Jubilee is often based upon 50 full years (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jubilee_in_the_Catholic_Church); however, this doesn’t necessarily mean that God’s original Jubilee system, was the same.
The Wave Sheaf chronology, Omer count, and Pentecost provide a similar system to sabbaticals and Jubilee timing—yet there are some differences (see https://7grails.world/7-symbolic/chr/bcd/). Pentecost is both day 49 (7 weeks, exclusive); and also the 50th day, inclusive (Pentecost means “fiftieth”). But after Pentecost, the week does not restart, on the day after Pentecost; instead, the 7-day week continues, unbroken from the previous weeks: the Sabbath continues to be every 7th day, without any interruption (the lunar Sabbath teaching claims that there is an interruption, every new moon; but this is another issue, for another article). This is also how the sabbatical years work, after a Jubilee year: they continue to come every 7 years, in a new cycle that aligns with the sabbaticals in the previous cycle (so that the total cycle repeats every 7 sabbaticals, or 49 years, not every 50 full years).
And this unbroken sabbatical alignment is shown in the cycle list, above (see A). Notice also, in that above list: the spring New Year’s Day, for normal years—versus the fall New Year’s Day, for sabbatical and Jubilee years; this fact also helps to verify the 49 year repeat, not 50, in spite of the Jubilee year itself being called the “fiftieth” year (much like Pentecost). In one sense, therefore: the YEAR 50 continues, until the end of the 50th normal year (which is in the spring—about one and a half years after the Jubilee began, in the fall of year 49).
Last but not least: as always, God foresaw the various disagreements and controversies—whether chronology, and/or any other biblical subject—so He put the evidence and alignments, in support of the correct teaching, in the Bible. This includes the Pentecost example, mentioned above; as well as the actual Jubilee alignments in history, detailed below (also see the Daniel 9 comments, in C). And in these historical cases: the true 49-year repeat fits perfectly, in several cases; but the false 50-year repeat fits little if anything, of biblical importance.

C. First Cycle Started, at the Jordan Crossing
Leviticus 25:2-4, “Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye COME INTO the land which I give you [Canaan], then shall the land keep a sabbath [sabbatical] unto the LORD. Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land [sabbatical] …”
This is the primary chapter, in the Bible, describing the sabbatical and Jubilee system. Therefore, we should expect this chapter to define the beginning, of the first cycle; and indeed, it does, as quoted above. Please notice that almost all Bible versions translate verse 2: “come into” or “enter“; therefore, the first cycle started in the year of the Jordan crossing, not some 14 or so years later (when the Israelites had conquered and settled in the land, which is proposed by some as the starting year). Different people settled in different days, months, or even years; but all crossed the river Jordan, in less than 24 hours—and this is a far more striking and memorable event, to start the cycle, rather than some gradual conquering and settling down process, in Canaan.
Also, starting with the Jordan crossing has four good Jubilee alignments (detailed below); but starting 14 years later has no good alignment, except the crucifixion year—which might seem great, except for one major problem. The Jordan crossing represents entering the antitype (heavenly Canaan); and this happens at the second Advent, not the first. Therefore, the Jordan crossing Jubilee alignments are associated more with the second coming, than the first.
There is an entirely different sabbatical and Jubilee system, which started after the Babylonian captivity; and that is the one, which relates especially to the first advent (see Daniel 9:24; Luke 4:16-21; etc). This prophecy includes exactly 70 sabbatical years (70 weeks of years), and therefore 10 Jubilee years (490 years total). This also shows, once again, that each full cycle is 49 years (not 50). Almost all Christians agree: Daniel 9 is prophecy about the first coming, of the Messiah—when He would be “cut off” (killed); and Jerusalem would be destroyed, not long after (see Daniel 9:26). In a brief side note: according to Josephus, the sabbaticals in this later system did NOT start in the fall (like the earlier Jordan crossing system); instead, this later system started the sabbatical years in the spring (see https://7grails.world/7-symbolic/chr/bcd/).

D. What Year Did Israel Cross the Jordan?
Well, then, if the Jordan crossing starts the original Jubilee cycle: then what year was the Jordan crossing? Late exodus advocates claim that the 480 years is symbolic (1 Kings 6:1); they need to claim this, in order to fit their wrong timing. Even if these 480 years represent something symbolic, fine—most of the Bible is symbolic, AND ALSO LITERAL!!! Not one of these so-called chronology experts, have even understood: that the first century Jewish calendar was NOT based upon first visible crescent (see https://7grails.world/7-symbolic/chr/bcd/). Therefore, we should expect that they are probably off track, in ALL of their chronology conclusions.
The early exodus chronologists are much closer to the truth, most commonly listing 1446 BC as the exodus year. This is not quite accurate, but very close; in this context, though, the exodus year isn’t the main question—instead, it is the Jordan crossing year. True, there were 40 years of wilderness wanderings (after the exodus, and before the Jordan crossing). However, is that exactly 40 years, or is 40 a rounded number (which the Bible does use, in some cases)? Also, even if it is exactly 40: did it start with the exodus, or when leaving Sinai (about one year later)? These questions underscore the fact that the crossing year, not the exodus year, is what’s most important (for calculating the Jubilee cycles).
The Jordan crossing occurred in the spring, of 1405 BC; this would also be a normal year 1 (they were told to start counting the six normal years, as soon as they entered Canaan). This 1405 BC crossing year can be validated, through multiple methods. First of all, using this year (to start the Jubilee cycles) provides a perfect alignment, with not one but FOUR important biblical Jubilee years (all four are detailed, below). Secondarily, the days of the week line up very nicely, in 1405 BC (but not in 1406, etc). Third, knowing the exact birth and death dates for Moses, leaves 1405 BC as the only possible Jordan crossing year; for details on his personal chronology, other important events in his life, plus the “three hundred years” (Judges 11:26) from 1405 BC to 1105 BC: see the following articles.

E. 9th Jubilee (965-964 BC), SOS Written
Simple math: -1406 + 441 (49 x 9) = –965
Jubilee zero (which didn’t exist, because the cycle hadn’t started yet in the fall of 1406) would be calculated from the fall of 1406 BC, to the fall of 1405 BC. This is why the above, simple math, starts with -1406 (negative numbers represent BC years); so the first actual Jubilee would begin 49 years later, in the fall of 1357 BC (-1406 + 49 = -1357).
Although Song of Songs (SOS) was written, about three thousand years before the second Advent: yet it is especially related to the second Advent, because of its detailed prophecy about the ten virgins parable—which, as most Christians recognize, is primarily about events just before the second coming (see https://7grails.world/7-literal/1-wedding/).
The exact date, when SOS was written, is June 6, 965 BC (which was also Pentecost, and a Sabbath; the Jubilee itself began four months later, in the same proleptic Julian year, 965 BC). These alignments (Pentecost, Sabbath, Jubilee year, etc)—as well as June 6, specifically, all combine to validate exactly when SOS was written. F. 17th Jubilee (573-572 BC), Ezekiel DOA
Simple math: -1406 + 833 (49 x 17) = –573
Ezekiel 40:1-5, “In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning [Hebrew: rosh (#7218)] of the year [ha-shanah (#8141)], in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither.”
The 10th day of the spring month (Abib / Nisan), is a minor event: when the Passover lamb was set apart (see Exodus 12:2-6); and it has very little if anything to do with Ezekiel 40, the Jubilee, or the second Advent. On the other hand: the 10th day of the 7th month—the Day of Atonement (DOA)—is the single most important festival, of the Jewish calendar (see Leviticus 16); and is very appropriate, for this context. So Ezekiel 40 was the 10th day of 7th month, not the 10th day of 1st month (in spite of some Bible versions, and some commentaries, applying it to the spring). In our day, without a doubt, Rosh Hashanah ALWAYS comes in the fall.
Wikipedia: “Rosh Hashanah begins the Ten Days of Repentance, culminating in Yom Kippur, the day of atonement. … The term rosh hashanah appears once in the Bible (Ezekiel 40:1), where it has a different meaning: either generally the time of the ‘beginning of the year’, or possibly a reference to Yom Kippur [DOA] …” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosh_Hashanah).
Gill’s Exposition: “This [Ezekiel 40], according to the Talmudists (n [T. Bab. Eracin, fol. 12. 1]), was the year of the JUBILEE: Bishop Usher (o [Annales Vet. Test. A. M. 3430]) places it in the year of the world 3430 A.M., and before Christ 574 …” (https://biblehub.com/commentaries/ezekiel/40-1.htm).
Interesting that 3430 is exactly the same time period, as 70 Jubilees (49 x 70 = 3430). Interesting also that it gives 574 BC as the year—which is very close, yet one year off; other years given, in those BibleHub commentaries for Ezekiel 40:1, are 572 BC and 575 BC (again, both are close, but not quite correct).
This 17th Jubilee (Ezekiel 40) connects with our time, near the second Advent, in more ways than one. For example: spring festivals are about the first Advent, and fall festivals are about the second Advent; clearly, Rosh Hashanah, and DOA, come in the fall. Additionally, when you get the exact year correct, you notice something amazing: Hebrew dates, Roman dates, and days of the week—all three are the same, in both 573 BC and AD 2026 (see the calendar screenshots, below).

G. 30th Jubilee (AD 65-66), SOS Fulfilled
Simple math: -1406 + 1470 (49 x 30) = 64 + *1 = 65
* NOTE: You must add one, crossing from BC to AD, to compensate for the fact that there is no year zero; the Julian calendar has 2BC, 1BC, 1AD, 2AD, etc—it does NOT have 2BC, 1BC, 0, 1AD, 2AD, etc.
During this Jubilee year (fall of AD 65, to fall of AD 66): the last event occurred, which is prophesied at the end of SOS (see 8:11,12; https://7grails.world/7-literal/1-wedding/). H. 70th Jubilee (AD 2025-2026), SOS Revealed
Simple math: -1406 + 3430 (49 x 70) = 2024 + 1 = 2025
Three of the four important Jubilee years, are closely related to SOS (see E, G, & H). In this case, 2025-2026 is when the final and most important application of SOS, the ten virgins parable, is revealed to the public (see https://7grails.world/7-literal/1-wedding/).
Please notice also that Daniel 9 is 70 sabbaticals, to the first Advent (70 x 7 years per sabbatical, is 490); and the other Jubilee system—from the Jordan crossing—is 70 Jubilees, to the second Advent (70 x 49 = 3430). This does not necessarily mean that the actual second coming will occur, during this 70th Jubilee year; but it does show that we are now living in the wake-up call, of the ten virgins parable. None should expect any secret rapture, and/or 7 years to get ready (or 3.5 years); these are Satan’s procrastination fantasies, designed to keep you asleep—until it’s too late.

The above calendar picture (cover of BCD article) starts with Sunday, September 21 (2025). If you count the days to Friday, that is September 26 (just mentioned, above). The Jubilee calendar alignments, documented above, are too good to be cherry-picked. Even the new moon timings (visible crescent for 965 BC, and 573 BC; versus V+2 or 3 for AD 66, and AD 2025) are historically realistic—not arbitrarily assigned, just to fit the alignments (as documented in the additional short notes, above the screenshots). The first day of the 7th Hebrew month can land, somewhat randomly, on any of about 30 different days in the Roman calendar. Therefore, two years matching by chance, is a slight possibility; but three years matching by chance, is not realistic—and this is WITHOUT including the odds of weekdays also aligning, by chance, in 573 BC and AD 2026. Furthermore, the September 26 date (2025) is a Gregorian calendar date; but if you convert it to the Julian date, it is—WAIT FOR IT—yes, September 13, AGAIN!!! Plus, two September 13 dates are already on the Julian calendar (Jubilee #17, and Jubilee #30). These Jubilee alignments, therefore, are very strong support for ALL of the following important conclusions: #1 the Jubilee cycles repeat every 49 full years, not 50; #2 the Jordan crossing (not some other event, or year) is what started the original cycle; #3 the Jordan crossing year was indeed 1405 BC (and the late exodus is a fairy tale); #4 SOS was indeed written (by Solomon), in 965 BC; #5 Ezekiel 40 does document a Jubilee year (starting in the fall); #6 Josephus was correct, when he documented a V+3 month in September of AD 66 (which is also clear verification that V+2 / V+3 was being used, in the first century); #7 the 70th Jubilee year has already started, in the fall of 2025 (regardless of which exact day you use, to start the 7th month); and this is the BEST POSSIBLE TIMING, for the most beautiful love story—in Song of Songs—to be revealed (see https://7grails.world/7-literal/1-wedding/).
BONUS: The 70th Jubilee is one of many things, designed by God, to show that the second coming of Jesus Christ is SOON AND VERY SOON!!! Furthermore, the Bible has several other methods, to show about two thousand years—between the first Advent, and the second Advent (see Part 0, subsection I-3; and Part 1, subsections 4n, 4o).
