Many people have attempted to use the correct original pronunciation, of God’s name; and the most common attempt, is “Yahweh” (also “Yeshua” or “Yahshua” for Jesus).  But this is a mere attempt, and it’s not even close to accurate.

For one thing, “Yahweh” is SIX letters—which is certainly NOT something that God would choose, for His personal name; instead, God’s name has 7 letters!  Originally, there were four letters, in the Hebrew: it is called the “Tetragrammaton” (which means “four letters”).

Nevertheless, God knows the end from the beginning (see Isaiah 46:10; Acts 2:22-31; etc); and He knew about translations and transliterations, and the various languages—especially the international language, at the end of time (English).  So God chose a name that would have seven letters, IN ENGLISH; and this fits His perfect character (seven represents complete / perfect).

This is the landing page, for studies and information about the Sacred Name doctrine; and how to sort out the truth from the many errors, on this highly misunderstood subject.
